ABOUT ME

my head.png

Growing up in Central New York, I dreamed of one day being a writer. I spent my formative years as a "library rat" at the Southworth Library, a small stone building in "downtown" Dryden, NY. (It's a wonderful public library and if you ever find yourself there take time to check it out.) I had two grandparents who were librarians and my favorite childhood memories are filled with books and libraries.

l'm still working on the writing dream, but after a few starts and stops I did become a librarian. I spent eighteen years as a high school librarian in the “best job in the world”.

I earned my undergraduate degree at Cornell University and a Masters in Library and Information Studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL (the "deep" South). My husband and I raised a daughter (she's pretty amazing), and we live in the hills south of Syracuse where the wind is always blowing and skies are often gray. I'm an avid runner, cyclist and hiker. You’ll often find me enjoying the big outdoors on the many trails and roads around town.
